Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the woman linked to the sex scandal that forced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to resign is suing Girls Gone Wild adult video founder Joe Francis for more than $10 million for the illegal use of her name and image. On a spring break vacation at the time, Dupre was also drunk when she was told to sign a video "release" form, according to the complaint, which seeks damages in excess of $10 million from Francis and his co-defendants."At the time of these events, plaintiff did not understand the magnitude of her actions nor that her image and likeness would be displayed in videos and DVDs produced and distributed by defendants," the lawsuit says."The defendants have profited from the filming, production and distribution and sale of the videos and DVDs," it added."Defendants created the false impression that plaintiff has endorsed and/or approves of the graphic sexual content, including lesbian acts, contained in the video, which in reality she does not." Dupre was identified in media reports in March as the woman named "Kristen linked to "Client 9," the frequent patron of a prostitution ring.Spitzer was the unnamed Client 9 cited in a federal affidavit against four suspected ringleaders of the online prostitution ring. Kim said his duties included protecting Lohan from fans and the paparazzi, accompanying her to industry events and obtaining VIP tables at clubs and concerts. In January 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing her cell phone at her maid in a dispute over a missing pair of jeans. After hearing from her attorney, the company said the videos Internet release will be delayed.Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis originally wanted Dupre, offering $1 million for her to appear in a non-nude spread for his companys new magazine and a chance to join the "Girls Gone Wild" tour bus.A "Girls Gone Wild" employees found archived footage of Dupre filmed in 2003, and Francis retracted the offer. In a statement, Francis said he had received an e-mail from Dupres lawyer Don Buchwald, saying Dupre may have been 17 in the videos shot in Miami and not 18 as Francis had first claimed. In an e-mail to one of Francis publicists, Buchwald said he was "informed by Ashley that the video was in fact taken when she was underage (that is 17)." Buchwald added in the e-mail that Francis was aware of Dupres age during the filming. Francis said he bought Dupre a Greyhound bus ticket back home to North Carolina in 2003. Dupre returned home after she spent a week on the "Girls Gone Wild" bus in Miami and filmed seven full-length tapes, which included nudity, after signing legal papers, the company said."It was because she was underage that he sent her home on a Greyhound bus back to North Carolina. Spitzer, who was referred to by an FBI agent in an affidavit as "Client 9," paid $4,300 for the session, one of many that investigators said he had with women employed by the prostitution ring that operated in cities worldwide. Spitzer, who announced his resignation, may have paid up to $80,000 for such services over time. The Emperors Club ranked women by their physical assets and other traits, and charged as much as $5,500 per hour. "Kristen" was described in an affidavit as "an American, petite, very pretty brunette, 5 feet, 5 inches, and 105 pounds." Dupre describes herself on her MySpace page as a lover of music. A court commissioner ruled that Britney Spears father will retain control of her finances and estate for another five months. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz extended Jamie Spears control until July 31, said court spokesman Alan Parachini. Parachini wasnt immediately able to provide more information. James Spears was named co-conservator of Britneys estate after she was hospitalized twice in January. His temporary authority to handle her affairs was to expire March 10. In the year leading up to the hospitalizations, Spears had been caught on camera by paparazzi engaging in increasingly bizarre behavior. Mills and McCartney separated in 2006 after four years of marriage and have since traded blows in the media while trying, and failing, to agree on divorce terms. The hearing was called to decide on Mills share of the former Beatles fortune, estimated at as much as $1.6 billion. Media reports suggest that McCartney has offered Mills about $50 million and that she is seeking at least double that amount. The couple have been in court every day this week, but few details have emerged. Divorce proceedings are heard in private, and the courtroom is closed to journalists and the public. McCartney has hired lawyer Fiona Shackleton, and Mills, who fired her legal team late last year, is representing herself. After the hearing ends, Bennett is expected to take several weeks to consider his settlement. The terms will not become public unless it is challenged in the Court of Appeal, or either of the parties chooses to reveal details. The couple married in June 2002, and their daughter was born in October the following year. A Superior Court commissioner gave Britney Spears father the power to fire her business manager, according to court documents. Commissioner Reva Goetz also ordered Howard Grossman to turn over all documents, records and assets relating to Britney Spears to James Spears, who is the court-appointed conservator of his daughter and her estate. The order came the day after Goetz held an emergency closed-door hearing on a motion brought by Spears father and her lawyer Andrew Wallet, who is part of the conservatorship. Spears parents said they feared their daughters life was at risk after she was released early from a hospital psychiatric ward. Spears affairs were placed under a temporary conservatorship after she was taken to UCLA Medical Center on Jan. 31 under heavy police escort. Conservatorship are granted for people deemed unable to care for themselves or their affairs. The conservatorship lasts until Feb. 14. Spears was discharged from the hospital over the recommendation of her psychiatrist and against the wishes of her parents. Her parents said they were extremely disappointed she was released and they said they were deeply concerned about her safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. Britney Spears got her stay in a psychiatric ward extended further as doctors decided to keep her hospitalized an additional 14 days.
